Sammy is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Tricap Investments. He has more than 25 years’ experience in international investments and business development. He is also a Managing Partner and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the NGP Group, and a board member and director of several companies.
Salem Bin Dasmal
Managing Partner
With extensive experience in the field of real estate development and management, Salem is Managing Director of Tricap Investments. He is also CEO of Nextar Investments LLC. Salem has previously held senior management positions in large real estate companies including Tatweer, Dubailand, Dubai Development and Investment Authority, and Dubai Tourism Development Company.
Denis M. Mullane
Partner
Denis has worked in the engineering field, associated with real estate and physical infrastructure development in Ireland, South Africa and in the Middle East for the past 40 years. He started his career with LC Consulting in South Africa in 1976. In 2005 and 2006, he negotiated the merger of LC Consulting into WSP Group PLC and was Chairman of the merged WSP Group Middle East until 2010.
Kamal Tayara

Mr. El-Tayara the Founder and Managing Partner of KCP Capital, a Dubai-based advisory and principal investment firm, has over 18 years of experience working in the investment banking and financial transactions arena in the Middle East, Russia, Africa and other markets. Prior to establishing KCP, Mr. El-Tayara was with investment banks Merrill Lynch and Salomon Smith Barney. Mr. El-Tayara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the American University of Beirut ( With Distinction) and an MBA from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France. Mr. El-Tayara is fluent in Arabic, English, French and Spanish.
Zubair Daruwala
Executive Director
Zubair has 20 years’ experience in investment management and evaluation, private equity transactions, project financing, merger and acquisition, business valuation, due diligence, auditing and accounting. His work experience spans across diversified industries including petrochemicals, real estate and energy sectors. Prior to Tricap, Zubair was Finance Director at Al Rajhi Investments Group.
Suleman Soorani
Director
Suleman has over 10 years’ experience in equity research, corporate finance, project analysis and business valuation across diversified industries. Prior to joining Tricap, Suleman spent six years covering listed equities, fixed income and hybrid securities in the MENA region and Pakistan.
Hina Israr
Director
Hina has 10 years of experience in the investment banking and private equity domain across origination and execution roles. She started her career in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley in Mumbai and worked in the financial services, pharmaceuticals, consumer, and retail verticals.
Shahwaiz Rehman
Senior Associate
Shahwaiz has more than ten years’ experience – including over seven years in the GCC – across a broad range of private equity, investment banking, and financial advisory platforms in both the GCC and Pakistan. He has completed transactions aggregating over US$500 million in value.
